Strategic Roadmap for Sustained Growth & Academic Excellence
A long-term plan aligned with the college's vision, mission, and national educational priorities.
The Institutional Development Plan (IDP) serves as a strategic roadmap for the College's sustained growth and academic excellence. It outlines the institution's long-term goals, priorities, and action plans to enhance the quality of education, research, infrastructure, governance, and student support services. The plan is aligned with the vision and mission of the College and focuses on continuous improvement through innovation, inclusivity, and effective resource management.
The Plan integrates the efforts of various statutory bodies, committees, and academic units to strengthen institutional effectiveness, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, promote research and community engagement, and develop a future-ready campus. It reflects the College's commitment to continuous improvement, inclusive development, and sustainable growth while responding to emerging educational priorities and national initiatives.

The college has a dedicated coordinator for RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan), a central government scheme that provides strategic funding to higher education institutions for development and improvements.
Jesuit Identity
The college's development is rooted in its Jesuit identity and the ideal of Magis (the pursuit of "something greater"). Its long-term goals include:
Vision
Establishing a "knowledge society with compassion, equity, and justice"
Mission
Commitment to excellence and building a just society with a preferential option for the marginalized
Development
The college is currently implementing the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), which involves significant changes to its credit system, course structures, and the introduction of "Signature Courses" and research pathways.
The college has evolved from a junior college to a postgraduate institution with 12 academic and administrative blocks and an international cricket stadium across its 35-acre campus.
The college specifies that any caution deposits that remain unclaimed by students (after a public notification period) are permanently forfeited and used specifically for the development of the college.
Infrastructure
As part of modernizing its academic infrastructure, the college has implemented registration for the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and requires students to create APAAR IDs to facilitate digital credit transfer.
The college maintains an IT Cell committee to oversee technological advancements and digital resources on campus.
