Department of Hindi

The Department offers Hindi courses under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) of the University of Kerala for students of various undergraduate programmes. The curriculum integrates Hindi language, literature, communication, translation, creative writing, and Indian cultural studies. It equips students with practical language skills relevant to higher education, competitive examinations, media, tourism, translation, and other professional careers.

Ability Enhancement Courses designed to develop students' proficiency in Hindi language, communication skills, literary appreciation, and functional language use.

Value Added Courses focus on enhancing students' employability and life skills through areas such as creative writing, media studies, translation, and contemporary Hindi literature.

Multi-Disciplinary Courses introduce students from different disciplines to Hindi language, Indian culture, translation studies, and professional communication, promoting interdisciplinary learning.
