Dr. Ramesh P

Dr. Ramesh P. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at St. Xavier’s College, Thumba, Thiruvananthapuram, where he has been dedicated to teaching and mentorship since January 2018. A highly distinguished academic, he secured the First Rank with Distinction in his Master’s degree, earning the prestigious Retnam Endowment Prize, followed by a First-Class M.Phil and a Ph.D. in History, specialising in Modern India. With over eight years of institutional teaching experience, his career has been anchored in the core values of community building, student character formation, and academic excellence.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Ramesh has authored more than fifteen publications in ISSN and ISBN journals, alongside two books, exploring themes ranging from martial art traditions and epigraphy to social history and cultural heritage in South India. His scholarly engagement extends to active participation in numerous national and international seminars, workshops, and faculty development programmes, reflecting a sustained commitment to research excellence and continuous professional growth.
