Dr. Divya Thomas

Dr. Divya Thomas has ten years of experience in higher education and holds an M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. Her primary areas of specialisation are electrochemical and fluorescent sensors, with broader expertise in analytical chemistry, nanomaterials, and food safety applications. Her research, which focused on electrochemical and quantum dot-based sensors for detecting food additives, synthetic dyes, and environmental contaminants, has been published in journals including Food Analytical Methods, the Journal of the Electrochemical Society, LWT — Food Science and Technology, and the Journal of Fluorescence. She has also contributed a book chapter to an international edited volume on energy materials and fluoropolymer nanocomposites, and has presented her research at national and international conferences. As Head of the Department, Dr. Divya provides academic and administrative leadership, overseeing curriculum enhancement, departmental planning, and the overall academic growth of students and faculty alike.
