Dr. Saumya S.

Dr Saumya S. brings six years of teaching experience in Economics, beginning her career as a Higher Secondary Economics teacher across several CBSE schools before serving as a Guest Lecturer at AJ College, Thonnakkal, and St Xavier’s College, Thumba. Holding a Ph.D. in Economics, she has built a research profile centred on urbanisation, infrastructure-led growth and sustainable development, with published papers examining India’s GDP growth, the socio-economic impact of Technopark on Thiruvananthapuram district, and the significance of Sustainable Development Goal 7. Her work has been presented and published through UGC-sponsored national seminars and All India conferences, reflecting a consistent engagement with contemporary economic policy questions.

Her academic engagement extends well beyond publication, encompassing an extensive record of participation in national and international seminars, workshops and webinars on themes ranging from the Union Budget and India’s ambition to become a five-trillion-dollar economy to research methodology, ESG principles and academic writing.
