Dr. Renju R. Krishnan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physics at St. Xavier's College with 14 years of teaching experience in higher education. He also serves as the Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Xavier's College and is a recognized Research Guide of the University of Kerala. He obtained his B.Sc. (2001), M.Sc. (2003), and Ph.D. (2011) from the University of Kerala. Throughout his academic career, he has been committed to excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, curriculum development, and institutional quality assurance.

Research and Scholarly Contributions

Dr. Krishnan's research focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced functional materials. He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He was invited as a Distinguished Speaker at the Annual Materials Science Congress held in Italy on 30–31 March 2026, where he presented his research to an international gathering of scientists and academicians.

As a recognized Research Guide of the University of Kerala, Dr. Krishnan is currently supervising four doctoral research scholars pursuing their Ph.D. degrees, making significant contributions to research in materials science and applied physics.

Teaching and Mentoring

With 14 years of teaching experience, Dr. Krishnan has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physics, inspiring students through innovative teaching and research-oriented learning. He actively mentors postgraduate students and doctoral scholars, fostering scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
