Menace of Ragging

St. Xavier's College maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding ragging. Ragging is considered a criminal offense under the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. To enforce this, the college has established a comprehensive Anti-Ragging Committee and an Anti-Ragging Squad, comprising the Principal, faculty members, and local administrative representatives, to monitor campus activities and ensure the safety of all students.

We take proactive measures to protect freshers, including the assignment of senior student mentors and clear reporting protocols through the Anti-Ragging Nodal Officer or the National Anti-Ragging Helpline. Punishments for those found guilty are severe, ranging from academic suspension and withholding of scholarships to expulsion and legal action. Our commitment is to provide a safe and inclusive environment where every student can pursue their education without fear or humiliation.
